This Privacy Policy explains how Dev Nambiar ("we", "us") — the developer and publisher of Chamber Draw — collects, uses, and protects information when you play the game. We keep it simple: play is local by default, and the only online service we connect to is Epic Online Services (EOS), which powers multiplayer, friend lists, and player identity.
1. What we collect
Chamber Draw is a Godot Engine game that runs almost entirely on your device. We (Dev Nambiar) do not run our own servers and do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for advertising.
| Category | Details |
|---|---|
| Epic Account identifier & display name | When you play online, your Epic Games display name and Epic Account ID are used to identify you in lobbies and games. |
| Friend / roster data | Which friends join your lobbies, their display names and chosen seat colors. |
| Game preferences | Your chosen seat color, number of players, game mode, and settings. These are saved locally on your device. |
| Match telemetry | Host machines track the state of an online match (turns, cards, bombs diffused, winners). This is game state used to run the match and is not used for marketing. |
| Authentication tokens / credentials | On your device, a config file stores login method and (optionally) Epic auth credentials so you can sign in again. Never on a server we control. |
2. How we use your information
- Create and manage online lobbies and EOS peer-to-peer (P2P) sessions.
- Route game intents (draw / play / diffuse) between players so everyone sees the same match, and reconnect players who drop out mid-match.
- Keep the game working — diagnose connectivity issues in online play.
3. Epic Online Services
Epic app name: Chamber Draw. The Epic Online Services SDK embedded in the game accesses your Epic Account ID, display name, friend/roster data, lobby and session metadata, and match-state data to run online play.
Online multiplayer is provided by Epic Games, Inc. via the Epic Online Services SDK embedded in the game. By playing online you are also subject to Epic Games' policies:
- Data sent to Epic is handled per Epic's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- We rely on Epic for identity, lobbies, P2P transport, friends, and matchmaking. We do not host these servers ourselves.
- Host-authoritative matches place game authority on the host player's machine.
For details about the exact Epic Data Subprocessor and service terms, see:
4. Data that stays on your device
- Seat color, player count, game mode — saved in user:// settings.
- Match snapshots and card data — opponent hands are presented as card backs; their contents are never disclosed to other players.
5. Sharing (we share almost nothing)
We do not share your data with advertisers, analytics vendors, or data brokers. The only disclosures are:
- Epic Games, Inc. — necessary for EOS login, lobbies, P2P, and friends.
- Other players in a match — your display name, seat color, and game actions.
- Authorities / legal — only where required by law and only to the extent permitted.
6. Minimum age
You must be 13 or older, or meet the minimum age Epic Games requires in your region, to play Chamber Draw online. Offline play against AI involves no account and no age check. We rely on Epic Games' age gating and their parental-consent handling for minor accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what the Epic Games account system requires. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us via the game, contact us and we will work with Epic to remove it.
7. Security
- Authenticated sessions use credentials stored in
User://(app-local user data), not plaintext on our servers. - Matches are host-authoritative and validated before committing moves.
- We never store payment information — the game has no purchases.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights (GDPR / CCPA / etc.) including:
- Access / Portability — ask what we hold.
- Correction — fix inaccurate data.
- Deletion — ask us to remove data we hold (most data lives in your Epic account, deleted through Epic).
- Objection / restriction — where processing is optional.
- Because we host no servers, most requests route to your Epic Games account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date above and, if significant, a notice in-game.
10. Contact
We typically answer within 30 days. You can also manage most of your data directly in your Epic Games Account.
